Responsibilities

  • Assist the project manager I (PM I) with overseeing construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Support project development through preconstruction activities, working with owners, architects, and estimating departments to develop budgets and proposals.
  • Manage startup activities, site logistics, and coordinate deliveries to minimize traffic disruption.
  • Review subcontractor bids, award subcontracts, and ensure compliance with contracts.
  • Inspect work for quality, ensure adherence to specifications, and document issues.
  • Approve subcontractor work and payments, and manage project closeout documentation.
  • Maintain cost accounting, prepare job status reports, and monitor budget variances.
  • Coordinate with scheduling to develop and update project timelines.
  • Manage change orders, negotiations, and ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
  • Perform project completion tasks, including documentation and safety reviews.

Requirements

  • B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years’ experience in the construction industry, specifically in Project Controls on large commercial projects.
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification (may be obtained within first year).
  • Experience with project management software, cost projection, scheduling, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
