Under the supervision of an RN, the Patient safety attendant provides direct observation of a patient at risk for safety. The Patient safety attendant performs duties in accordance with performance standards established for the job and appropriate to the position. In addition, the Patient safety attendant conducts all job responsibilities according to the Mission and Values of CMMF. Duties and Responsibilities include clear communication with nursing staff, knowledge and skills to provide age-specific care, reporting patient complaints and changes in condition, transporting patients, ensuring patient safety and environment optimization, maintaining good working relationships, proper documentation, attending education programs, and providing exceptional customer service. Organizational requirements include adherence to dress code, completing education and regulatory requirements, punctuality, professional representation, confidentiality, and safety compliance. Regulatory requirements include preferred Heart saver Certification, high school graduate or equivalent preferred, effective communication skills, knowledge of safe body mechanics, and interpersonal skills. Language skills require effective English communication, with additional languages preferred. Basic computer knowledge and Basic Cardiac Life Support are preferred. Physical demands require reasonable accommodations for disabilities without compromising client care.
