Summary: The Junior Computer Network Support Specialist will assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's systems infrastructure. This entry-level role supports the design and deployment of hardware and software systems, monitors network performance, and performs a variety of technical tasks under the guidance of senior IT staff. The ideal candidate will be familiar with standard IT concepts and eager to grow their skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Assist in the planning and engineering of network and systems infrastructure. Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software components. Monitor system and network performance, identifying and reporting issues as needed. Perform routine troubleshooting and support tasks for end users and IT systems. Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and support activities. Collaborate with senior team members to support infrastructure upgrades and projects. Apply standard IT practices and procedures to accomplish assigned goals. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Basic understanding of network protocols, hardware components, and operating systems. Familiarity with LAN/WAN environments and common IT tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment. Minimum Qualifications: At least 1 years of experience in the field or in a related area IAT Level I Certification Must have Top Secret (SCI Eligible) Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience working in federal or defense environments. Industry standard technical and network certifications.
