Holtmeier Construction is seeking a heavy equipment operator to join our fast-paced utility, aggregate crushing and quarry teams.
Skills amp; Qualifications:
· Have general insight of outdoor construction in various environments.
· Valid driver's license, a commercial driver's license is preferred.
· Attention to safety of self and others at all times.
· Excellent attendance, arriving to work prepared for the day.
· Willingness to listen, learn, and communicate with others.
· Treat equipment, tools, and peers with respect at all times.
· Must have the ability to pass a physical exam and drug test.
A day in the life as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Holtmeier:
In this position you are part of a team that consists of a foreman, equipment operators and general construction workers. Heavy equipment operators support our team with operating various pieces of equipment, digging and trenching with regards to OSHA requirements, loading trucks, demolition, pipe installation, footing excavation, rough grading, fine grading, operate equipment with and without GPS capability and operating equipment with certain task related attachments.
Benefits amp; Compensation - Holtmeier Construction is a union and non-union company. Heavy equipment operators are generally union positions with I.O.U.E Local 49. Holtmeier Construction offers health insurance and retirement benefits to non-union employees. We generally work 10–12-hour work days and occasional Saturdays during the busy season. Pay is based on qualifications.
