As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of the organization's cloud architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives, IT strategies, and industry best practices. Your role will include developing cloud migration strategies, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and guiding teams in adopting and managing cloud-based technologies. Your expertise will influence key decisions related to cloud technologies and enterprise system integration, ensuring cloud solutions are secure, reliable, and future-ready. This position is located onsite in the DC area. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of cloud architecture strategies, aligning initiatives with overall business goals. Develop scalable, secure, high-performing, and cost-efficient cloud solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Create and manage the cloud architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with IT and business priorities. Guide cloud adoption, ensuring effective use of cloud resources enterprise-wide. Oversee migration of on-premises systems to cloud platforms with minimal disruption and optimized performance. Design hybrid and multi-cloud strategies for integrating on-premises and cloud environments. Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and technical teams, providing guidance on cloud architecture and native application development. Ensure teams follow agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies in cloud application development and deployment. Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies, trends, and innovations. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, with 12+ years of related experience (additional years of experience may substitute for a degree). 7+ years of experience in cloud or enterprise architecture, designing and implementing solutions at an enterprise scale. Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless, and CI/CD pipelines. Proficient in cloud security, IAM, encryption, and network security. Strong understanding of DevOps principles. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Experience with cloud cost management and optimization. Ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure cloud solutions. Proven leadership in guiding technical teams and mentoring junior staff. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Desirable Skills Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures. Automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI. Knowledge of cloud governance platforms like CloudHealth or CloudBolt. Experience with cloud data lakes, big data, or AI/ML infrastructure.
