Join Our Team as a Delivery Driver Trainee at US Foods, Inc.

Your Mission

In this exciting role, you will:

• Safely operate commercial trucks to meet scheduled delivery times.
• Unload products using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
• Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle.

What You Need to Succeed

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• FMCSA Clearinghouse Registration: Required by the Department of Transportation.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL Class A license issued by your state of residence, with necessary endorsements.
• Less than six months of commercial driving experience, or less than three months in food and/or beverage delivery.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English, including understanding traffic signs and responding to inquiries.

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

• The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repeatedly during each shift.
• Comfortable driving and working in various weather conditions, with frequent stops (10+ per shift).
